[gas'kaːr], Pierre, französischer Schriftsteller, eigentlich P. Fournier [fur'nje], * Paris 13. 3. 1916, ✝ Lons-le-Saunier 20. 2. 1997; reflektierte in seinen Romanen eigenes Erleben aus der Jugend und dem Krieg, erwies sich auch in seinen Berichten und Essays als illusionsloser, realistischer Beobachter der fragwürdig-aggressiven Beziehungen zwischen den Menschen sowie zwischen Mensch und Natur.
